Australian Cherries are available from November to February, but the different varieties are harvested at different times, so what you see in the shops in November will be different to what you see in January.

Some varieties are rich and sweet, others are mild, and some are slightly tart or sour.

 

The one thing they have in common is that they are all delicious!

 

Select Fresh are currently supplying the Lapin variety, which is available from Mid-December to January. They are a large heart‐shaped variety, with dark red skin and firm, golden‐red flesh.
