Cherries are early!

Due to our hot spring this year, Manjimup Cherry crops are ready 3 weeks earlier than usual: WA fruit will be available from now until the end of January. Eastern States fruit will also be available during this period. FYI WA produces 400 tonnes of Cherries per year out of a national cop of 15,000 tonnes.

Punnet Range

The Select Fresh Punnet Range will add value and customer options to your Fresh Produce Range. Speak to your Select Fresh representative if we can assist you with in-store merchandising assistance.

WA Peaches

Heavy supplies of Peaches are driving prices down. Fruit is excellent this year. Now is the time to drive sales on Peaches, as well as Nectarines, Apricots and Plums which are all excellent quality and reasonably priced.

  • Sundowner
  • Granny Smith
  • Packham Pears

Red Seedless Grapes

The first crop of new season Carnarvon Flame Seedless Grapes has arrived. Berries are a little small but flavour is excellent and size will increase over the next week or so. U.S.A Whites and some Red Seedless still available.

Limes

Limes are in heavy supply and prices have eased.
Other Citrus is rising in price with the change of season from Australian to Imported fruit.

Summer Layouts

Now is the time with quality, price and range all good to build displays of Summer Fruits to maximise Sales leading into summer. The Select Fresh Team are ready and willing to assist with in-store merchanding. We can also assist with display materials if required.

The Bad News

  • Mangoes in short supply and expensive
  • Tomatoes ripening very fast, short shelf life
  • Strawberries short shelf life as fruit acclimatising to hotter growing conditions.
  • Lemons very expensive as imported from USA.
