Nectarines

Local Rose Diamond variety Nectarines from the Perth Hills are the pick of the Market this week. Having started 3 weeks early this year, the season is already well under way and volumes strong.

Blueberries

Blueberries are plentiful this week with fruit from local, Victorian and New Zealand all available in the market.

Both local and Eastern States Raspberries are also now available.

Mangoes

Honey Gold and Calypso variety Mangoes have both started their season with the KP (Kensington Pride) variety also still available.

Beans

Stringless Beans are heavily supplied with prices easing. Runner Beans also available but are expensive. Broad beans coming to the end of their season.

Grapes

Carnarvon Grapes are now in full swing with White Seedless, Red Seedless, Red Globe and Muscats all available.

Tomatoes

Local Tomatoes have now started and with plenty of Carnarvon fruit still available prices have eased. Carnarvon fruit is still the better quality option however at this early stage of the Local season.

Okra

Local Okra now available and excellent quality. Baby Fennel (Aniseed) from VIC and SA selling well. Kohl Rabi for something a little different.

The Bad News

  • Limes in short supply and expensive
  • Avocadoes firming as demand from Eastern States
  • Lemons very expensive
  • Italian Parsley quality inconsistent as seeding
  • Parsnips expensive
