NT Mangoes

Northern Territory Kensington Pride (KP) variety Mangoes are now in season. Full range of sizes are available and quality is excellent. Good news is a very good season is expected.

Cauliflower

With the worst of Winter now behind us (hopefully), both Local and South West Cauliflowers are back in good supply and prices are easing.

Broccoli

Broccoli is also good news as volumes are picking up again. Prices are expected to ease over the next week or two.

Long Watermelon

Strong volumes of the long Watermelon variety (seeded) are now available. Prices are significantly lower than the Seedless variety and quality good, so worth considering at the moment.

Chinese Vegetables

The easing in the weather has been good news with supply back to normal on;

  • Bok Choy
  • Pak Choy
  • Kai Lan
  • Choy Sum

Tasmanian Shallots

Tasmanian Shallots are now at the peak of the season. Quality is exceptional.
FYI Shallots (also known as Eschallots) have a strong Onion/Garlic flavour. While they look like small Onions, they are sectioned into cloves like Garlic.

Silverbeet/ Spring Onions

Silverbeet is dropping in price as volumes come back on line.
Spring Onions also are easing in price as crops recover with the better weather.

Prices set to rise as volumes tighten on;

  • Bananas
  • Egg Fruit
  • Burpless Cucumbers
  • Lebanese Cucumbers
  • Zucchini
